An extremely versatile vocalist, Johanna regularly receives engagements in art song, opera and oratorio, and is increasingly sought after for her interpretations of New Music. She’s premiered works by Hans Joachim Hespos, Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf, Anna Korsun and Nicolaus A. Huber and was awarded first prize at the John Cage Voice Competition 2018 in Halberstadt - Germany directed by Sarah Maria Sun for her work with Magdalena Cerezo and their piano duo LAB51 as well as the performance prize at Forum Neue Musik - Berlin for her interpretation of Michaela Catranis’ work ‘Deux poèmes de Nadia Tuéni.” She’s is a regular at festivals such as Eclat, Cresc Biennale, and Musikfest - Berlin, performing with the SWR Vokalensemble and recently received a position teaching "Interpretation of Contemporary vocal music" at the University of Music in Karlsruhe.
